Admission

Free entry to all walk-in visitors.

Museum Experiences such as Public Programmes, Education Programmes + some events have a charge.

Guided Tours

Looking to make the most of our museum? Take one of our guided tours!

One of our professional guides will take you on a guided tour of our exhibitions for half an hour, providing a wonderful overview of the many exhibitions on display. Must be booked in at manager@westernbaymuseum.nz  Minimum of 8 guests - $5.00 per person

Parking

Plenty of parking is available in Katikati township.

There is a public car park opposite the museum behind the Katikati Memorial Hall accessed via Talisman Drive.

Accessibility

We are wheelchair friendly with accessible facilities and bathroom.

Our loading zone and drop off area is at the front door of the museum.

Photography

Photography is widely encouraged! There are plenty of great things to take pictures of both inside and outside the museum.

Please note though that some taonga (treasures) on display may not be photographed for cultural reasons. For ease in identifying these, we’ve placed a “no photography” icon next to these objects.
