Carly Vevers
COLLECTIONS ASSISTANT
Carly works in the Western Bay Museum’s collection store, cataloguing, researching and preserving the museum’s precious collection. A love of history and a good mystery has led her to pursue a career in the GLAM sector, where she enjoys uncovering the stories behind the objects in the collection.
Carly recently completed a Master of Arts with Distinction in Museum Studies through Massey University, researching taonga Māori and the Protected Objects Act 1975. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a New Zealand Diploma in Records and Information Management.
Her iwi affiliations are Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe and Waitaha.
