Job Vacancy - Collections Curator, Western Bay Museum


The Western Bay Museum has an opportunity for a qualified Collections Curator in a permanent role.  This role is to direct the long-term preservation of the Museum collections, including the physical care and safety of the objects in the collection, and on loan. A key part is to acquire objects relating to the Acquisitions policy and rationalize the collection in line with that policy, as well as to promote the dissemination of information about the collections, both digitally (using eHive)and in exhibitions.

All policies and procedures are in place and a Collections Assistant has been appointed to assist under contract.

Ideally you will have a Museum or Heritage qualification, object handling skills, and experience photographing objects. You will need to have a current driver’s license and your own vehicle.
